I’ve had more fleece from Romney Marsh Wools this year, it is absolutely gorgeous for spinners!! It’s very very clean, absolutely minimal vm, and the wool is exquisitely bouncy and airy with long, lustrous and soft locks that are very easy to prepare for spinning. It’s so rewarding to buy direct from those growing the sheep and to put my spinning budget towards such lovely people’s work raising healthy sheep in the region they originated from - supporting British wool is so important!!

Romney Marsh Wools Whole Fleece.
This whole fleece has a long crimped staple making ideal for spinning, our fleeces are not bleached or dyed so are perfect for hand-dyeing.
This fleece has been hand skirted to remove some of the natural material, but it is unwashed and will need preparing before working with it.

Beautiful, beautiful fleece - very clean, almost no VM, long staple length and gloriously soft and buttery. Very, very easy to comb and spin. They’re also really nice people and I love being able to buy direct from the growers. Clearly happy sheep, producing such high quality fleece!
