Designed for easy-to-intermediate ability, the project guides you through shaping loose Romney wool fibres into two charming three-dimensional figures. It is ideal for creative beginners ready for a slightly more detailed project, as well as felters looking to develop their skills.
Natural white Romney wool forms the animals’ fleeces, while hand-dyed brown Romney wool is used to add contrasting features and character. Two different felting-needle gauges are included to help with shaping, firming and adding finer details.

Natural and hand-dyed wool may vary slightly in colour and texture, giving every finished ewe and lamb their own individual character.

What skill level is the kit suitable for?
The project is rated easy to intermediate. It is suitable for beginners who are comfortable attempting a more detailed three-dimensional project and for improving needle felters.
What is included in the kit?
The kit includes natural white and hand-dyed brown Romney wool, 36- and 40-gauge felting needles, 2mm and 3mm glass eyes, a toothpick, parchment paper, an eco felting-pad cover, illustrated instructions and access to a video tutorial.
Do I need to supply anything?
Yes. You will need uncooked rice to fill the eco felting-pad cover. Rice is not included.
Why are two different felting needles included?
The two needle gauges are useful for different stages of the project. One can be used for shaping and firming the figures, while the other helps with more detailed work.
Is this a wet-felting kit?
No. This project uses sharp, barbed felting needles to sculpt the dry wool fibres. Water and soap are not required.
Can children use this kit
The kit contains extremely sharp felting needles, small glass eyes and a toothpick. It is intended for adults or responsible older children under close adult supervision.
Are the completed ewe and lamb toys?
No. The finished figures contain small components and are intended as decorative craft items, not children’s toys.
