Description
The Romney sheep has one of the highest qualities of fleece of any native British bred sheep. The fleeces have long crimped staples which make it ideal and easy to spin into yarn, and are soft enough for use in the production of clothing.
Our fleeces are not bleached or dyed so are perfect for hand-dyeing.
This raw fleece has been hand-skirted to remove some of the natural material, please note: these fleeces are un-washed and will need washing and carding before being worked with.

I have been a spinner for 40 yrs and have always prepared my fleeces myself, this time I thought I would give these bags of cleaned fleece a try, Result is that I will always look on this site in the future for my fleece. Arrived promptly, cleaned, and almost ready to spin! I always spin fleece in the grease so as soon as the current project is finished I look forward to starting these new bags I have just received.
