Description

Our walking buddies are handmade in Kent by Spinning Earth, using pure organically processed Romney wool from Romney Marsh Wools, they are knitted on a hand knitting loom 1/3 larger than their finished size and then undergo a felting process to strengthen the integrity and durability of the fabric while keeping that super softness.
Socks made from Pure Wool have several advantages: as well as providing a cosy layer around your feet, they will equalise their temperature so your feet do not overheat and draw moisture away from the skin surface letting your feet breath.  Wool also neutralises odours and has anti-bacterial properties.

How can you resist nature's complete natural comfort?

Fantastic product, use them for house and bed socks. Keeps your feet snug. Some people find the wool a bit course but I have found it to be the opposite plus being English wool it is not as soft as Marino wool. For hiking would naturally use a thick sock as a base layer anyway. The socks are difficult to get on initially but that is due to being virgin. Once you use them a few times, mould to your feet. During a cold spell even my wife found them to be a treat for her feet.

I bought two pairs at Hever castle few years ago brilliant in the winter my feet always toasty warm in these and they wash easily. Best winter socks I've ever owned

Seem a bit rough on my feet. They do seem very warm. However I found them incredibly hard to put on as too tight at opening of socks. I have slim narrow feet.

I bought one pair of these socks and found them so cosy and comfortable I simply had to buy more pairs.
