Introduce natural texture and timeless British style into your home with our Fostum British Romney Wool Herringbone Cushion.

The bold, open herringbone weave gives this traditional wool fabric a fresh, contemporary appearance. It works beautifully within modern minimalist interiors while remaining equally at home in a traditional cottage or country setting.

The cushion covers are woven using a carefully selected blend of Romney wool and Romney lambswool from our own flock. The addition of lambswool creates a finer, softer finish while retaining the natural durability and distinctive character for which Romney wool is known.

Our fleeces are carefully selected before being processed, spun and woven in the United Kingdom by experienced craftspeople using traditional methods. The colours are created using only the naturally occurring shades found within the fleece, without synthetic dyes.

Choose from selected cushions in our Marsh Fern, Tawny and Blackthorn colourways. Each is completed with an elegant Pearl Drop detail and supplied with a British Romney wool-filled inner pad.

Whether placed on a sofa, armchair or bed, this beautifully textured cushion adds warmth and character to the room. Coordinating British Romney wool throws are also available separately.

COLOUR GUIDE

  • Marsh Fern -A versatile natural grey colourway with contrasting lighter fibres woven through the herringbone design.
  • Tawny - A warm natural blend of biscuit, oatmeal and soft brown shades that adds warmth to neutral interiors.
  • Blackthorn - A deeper natural colourway combining charcoal, dark brown-grey and lighter contrasting fibres.

Please note that natural wool shades may vary subtly between production batches. This is part of the individual character of British wool rather than a fault.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Remove the wool-filled inner pad before washing the cushion cover.

Gently hand wash or use a gentle wool wash cycle with a suitable wool detergent. Wash at a cool temperature with a low spin and avoid rubbing, wringing or soaking.

Reshape the cover while damp and dry flat naturally, away from direct heat or sunlight. Do not tumble dry.

Why is the Herringbone cushion not available with a button finish?

The Herringbone fabric already has a bold and distinctive woven pattern. Adding a decorative button makes the finished cushion appear too busy, so we offer this design with the Pearl Drop finish instead.
