British Romney Knit Kit - Welcome to the World

Welcome a new arrival with a beautifully coordinated handmade baby set, knitted using soft British Romney lambswool from our own flock.

The Welcome to the World Baby Knitting Kit contains everything needed to create a baby hat, matching booties and an adorable little knitted lamb. The completed set makes a thoughtful handmade gift for a new baby, baby shower, christening or first visit.

The pattern has been created with beginner knitters in mind and includes helpful instructions to guide you through each of the three coordinating projects.

Our British Romney lambswool is made using carefully selected fleeces from our own flock, raised on our family farm on the Romney Marsh. Naturally warm and breathable, it creates a beautifully distinctive baby set to be knitted and gifted with love.

The hat and booties are designed for babies aged approximately 0–3 months. Individual sizing may vary depending on knitting tension, so please follow the pattern carefully and make a tension square where advised.

• A small amount of British wool stuffing for the lamb

Individual knitting tension can affect the finished size. Please follow the instructions and sizing information within the pattern and make a tension square before beginning the baby garments.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Gently hand wash the completed hat and booties in cool water using a suitable wool detergent. Avoid rubbing, wringing or sudden changes in water temperature. Reshape while damp and dry flat away from direct heat.

The knitted lamb should be surface cleaned gently and allowed to dry naturally. Regularly check the finished items for loose yarn, damaged seams or detached decorative details before use.

The knitted lamb should be described as a decorative keepsake unless the completed item has been independently tested and certified to the applicable toy-safety standards.
