Kent County Cricket Club
A Day for the Ladies
30 July 2012
The ladies of Kent can look forward to a very special Canterbury Week Ladies' Day this year, on the second day of Kent's LV= County Championship match against Essex (Thursday 9 August).
Along with the marquees, brass band and the traditions associated with the world's oldest Cricket Week, which includes the Kent Cricket Supporters Club's wreath-laying ceremony, the club are also building upon the success of last year's Ladies' Day event with an Arcade of locally-produced crafts hats and jewellery.
Fenwick's Fashion on the Outfield
Ladies can look forward to the return of the popular, Fashion on the Outfield competition, but year with support from department store Fenwick.
Ladies are encouraged to dress to impress, and invited to stroll along the Kent Cricket red carpet walkway during the tea interval, with the chance to win some fantastic prizes, which are:
- First Prize: £500 Fenwick voucher
- Second Prize: £250 Fitzgerald Jewellers voucher
- Third Prize: £250 Whitefriars Canterbury voucher
- Fourth Prize: A Spa Day, with lunch for two at Ashford International Hotel
This year, too, runners up will be awarded a unique Fenwick's bag, so there really is nothing to lose! Please note that all outfits should incorporate a hat.
Kent Cricket would like to thank Fenwick, Fitzgerald Jewellers, Whitefriars Canterbury and Ashford International Hotel for their generous support, along with competition judges; Doreen Wadlow (partner of Kent Cricket President, Mike Denness), Julie Prior - Fenwick's Advertising and Marketing Manager, and Catherine Gaskin - Fenwick's Buyer.
