Romney Marsh Wools holds first Virtual Open Day 4th April 2020

On Saturday 4th April 2020 Romney Marsh Wools held the first VIRTUAL farm open day across our social media channels.  A big thank you to all who tuned in and took part - if you missed out you can find the full day on our instagram story highlights @romneymarshwools.

Romney Marsh Shepherds Huts - Based here on the farm, our Shepherds Huts are based on traditional designs but with a little added luxury.  Although bookings are currently suspended, we are looking forward to being able to welcome visitors again later in the year.  More information can be found here.

Simply Ice Cream - Delicious ice cream made just up the road from us in Bonnington.  Available from Waitrose, Co-op & Morrisons as well as local farm shops.  Order for local home delivery by calling 01233 720922.  Crockery & gift sets may also be ordered via their online shop.

Cheesemakers of Canterbury - A range of hard & soft cheeses made in Dargate, nr Faversham.  Collection available from the dairy or via the Goods Shed - please find them on Facebook for latest information.

Sea Glass by Archie - Handmade greetings cards made using sea glass treasures from Folkestone.  Order via Archie's Etsy shop.

Jenni Rogers Jewellery - Handmade jewellery made using a unique combination of silver and beautiful natural stones.  Available to order for home delivery here.

Kent Crisps - Hand cooked crisps made using British potatoes and unique flavours in partnership with some of Kent's finest producers.  Available in Waitrose, Southern Co-op & Asda as well as local farm shops or order via Amazon or Borough Box for home delivery.  Visit their website for more info.

Wise Owl Cider - Lightly sparkling ciders made using local apples from Pluckley.  Available from farm shops or order online for home delivery.

O'er the Moon - Handmade fudge & confectionery from the heart of Kent.  Buy online for home delivery. 

Country Cushions - A wide range of items including cushions, aprons, lampshades and more, all with a country theme using quality fabrics including Voyage, Clarke and Clarke and Sophie Allport. Items can be made to customers own requirements.  More information here.

Kentish Oils - Cold pressed rapeseed oils made using specially selected seed grown, pressed & bottled in small batches here in Kent.  The range also includes dressings, marinades and mayonnaises.  Available in Tesco, local farm shops and via Amazon & Borough Box for home deliver.  Visit their website for more information.

Cupcakes n Crafts - Bespoke cupcakes & glass ornaments which can be customised to your requirements.  Home delivery throughout Kent, order online or contact direct.

Kentish Dyes - Natural dyes derived from plants. Sustainable colours for wool and silk obtained without using petrochemicals and synthetics.  These are also used to create our range of felting wool & felting kits.  Courses are run throughout the year, more information can be found here.

Canterbury Young Farmers Club - A group of young people; aged 16-26 from around the Canterbury area.  Also part of the bigger ‘National Federation of Young Farmers’ Clubs’. Not all members are ‘young farmers’ but many are people who may work in agriculture, appreciate the countryside and enjoy rural life! Meetings are held every Thursday evening and our annual varied programme involves farm visits, company tours, charity talks, seasonally themed evenings, games and much more!  New members always welcome, so if you’re interested – get in touch via their Facebook page.  

Spring Grove School - Located in Wye, between Ashford and Canterbury, in a 14 acre rural setting, Spring Grove School is one of the most beautiful playgrounds in Kent, complete with its own Forest School, for boys & girls aged 2 - 11 years old.  Find out more on their website.
